Who is Julien Guillemette?

Julien Guillemette, a film music composer, is a talented 24-year-old musician from Sherbrooke, Quebec. His passion for music was evident at a young age, leading him to pursue an academic and professional career in this field. He holds a high school diploma in music, followed by a college diploma in music with a specialization in jazz guitar. He then obtained a bachelor's degree in film music from the University of Sherbrooke and is currently pursuing his graduate studies as part of a DESS in musical project creation, also at the University of Sherbrooke.

 

This solid training has allowed him to develop mastery of several instruments, such as guitar, bass, piano, accordion, vocals, drums, and the merlin. His various academic and professional experiences have allowed him to explore music production software, such as Sibelius, Logic Pro, Ableton, and FL Studio, making his skills as a composer very versatile. As a stage technician, he is able to implement his talent in various musical contexts, including score editing. Long before focusing on composing for film, Julien began his professional career as a performer. From the age of 5, he developed his passion for the piano, and at 7, he added the guitar to his portfolio. Over the years, his curiosity and thirst for learning led him to master many other instruments. After that, Julien focused on his intensive academic career in pop and rock performance, which earned him his DEC in jazz guitar profile studio at Cégep de Sherbrooke.

 

Julien's inspiration lies in the opportunity to share his passion through media such as video games and film. His main motivation is to bring a variety of emotions to his audience through his music, creating an immersive and memorable experience. Julien Guillemette is a talented composer who will continue to leave his mark on the world of film music with his creativity and dedication.
